Caroline took her first trip on a plane 2 weeks ago. Chris flew the 3 of us to Destin. She really did great on the flight--even took a little 30 minute snooze a the beginning of the trip. I took her out of her carseat about halfway there and held her in my lap. I had brought a bag full of toys to entertain her. But, of course, she was more interested in the "toys" in the plane-- the seat belt, the oxygen tubes, the flashlight in the back pocket of the front seat, etc. All of which she tried to put in her mouth. She seemed to enjoy the trip, much more so than the 12 hour trip home last time we came down.
Caroline and I are still in Destin and Chris has been going back and forth to Chattanooga during the week. We will fly back home this weekend.
The big news is that Caroline turned 6 months old yesterday. It is really hard to believe! She is such a curious little person. I have started calling her Curious Caroline. She is constantly looking for something new to spark her interest and she can become bored quickly if she is not exposed to new objects and settings frequently. She has really enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the water and trees while we've been in Florida. We've spent some time on the dock too and I keep telling her that she is going to go swimming in the Bay this summer. Can't wait!
