9 Month Doctor's Appointment

Caroline had her 9 month check-up yesterday. All is well. She weighs 20 lbs 5 oz. and is 28 inches long. That puts her in the 75th percentile for both height and weight, exactly where she has been since 3 months. The good news is that there are no vaccinations at 9 months, which was a nice surprise. The bad news is that she has a fever today anyway. Guess she picked something up at the appointment. Hmmm..... doesn't make sense to me. I take my healthy baby to the doctor to keep her healthy and yet she comes home sick. Argh!

She woke up this morning, wouldn't eat much breakfast and cried every time I tried to put her down. One time when I picked her up, she just put her head down on my shoulder and rested it there for a few minutes. If you know Caroline, there is no resting on her agenda. So, that is how I knew something was wrong. She did feel warm, and when I took her temperature it was 101.6. So, she has had a couple of doses of Tylenol and 2 good naps and the fever is down. Hopefully, it will be gone tomorrow morning. I guess we've been very lucky though. We've made it 9 months and this is the first time she's been sick.
