We're all over the bug. But, pretty much everyone who had contact with Caroline during the weeks that she was sick has at least gotten a touch of it.
So, what's new?
Caroline is really cruising a lot more now, moving between pieces of furniture while walking relatively easily. One of her favorite places to walk is just below the windows in the TV room, holding on to the window crank handles. Last week on Friday (6/20), she stood alone for about 10 seconds.
She is now climbing a full flight of stairs, pretty quickly I might add. At first, she would go on her hands and knees, but now she steps up with her feet (of course, still using her hands on the upper stair for balance). Yesterday, she went up them without me even holding on to her-- just with my hands right behind her.
We have been going to the pool in the afternoons a lot. We put her in her float in the baby pool where she can touch the bottom and she walks around, plays with toys and checks out the other babies and kids. She enjoys going under the fountain and letting the water splash on her.
She has discovered how to open cabinets and drawers this week. So, we've installed some safety latches. I did leave one cabinet for her to play in, filled with Tupperware and a few pans for her to bang on.
Her personality just keeps developing more and more. She is such a smiley girl and she loves to laugh. She even laughs at herself sometimes now. She is constantly babbling and occasionally repeating sounds/words that we say. This morning, we were walking out of the bathroon and Chris was in the shower and I said "bye, bye, Daddy" and she waved and said "ba ba, da da". Pretty good for 10 months.
So, off to Kindermusik this morning. I'll be posting some new pictures soon.
