Third time's a charm. Well, not really, but after refusing the bottle for 2 nights, Caroline finally decided it was OK with her again last night. I think what made the difference was that I left the scene. I made it a point not to pick her up as she was getting hungry. I let Chris pick her up and take her to the chair where he feeds her and then I left the room. She fussed a little bit but then sucked the whole thing down. PHEW! I was really starting to worry that I was going to have to breastfeed her myself exclusively. I love breastfeeding her, but I do need to have a little freedom.
Chris is leaving today to go out of town until late Friday night, so he gave her a bottle this morning at 6 am. She took it again. I think the key is for me to stay out of the room. Hopefully, she will continue on this path.
